"A Sense of Aliveness"

What does it mean to be alive, to feel movement, vibrancy of life, and experience the joy of creation? The Lord is the maker, giver, and sustainer of life—to read his Word is to know him deeper, and as Jesus said, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God’” (Matthew 4:4, NIV). Through this gif and stop motion assignment, I wanted to point the audience back to God’s Word so that they might not only see aliveness in my animations, but also in their spiritual walk.

Each gif correlates with a Bible verse that is important to me, and reflects an aspect of God’s expansive creation. I carefully cut out each animal’s images and placed them into the storyline in Adobe Photoshop to make them move, then chose a background that suited the color palette and message of each animation. I found this process quite therapeutic and fun, and would definitely like to make more gif animations in the future.
